About the GRCGT

The Golden Retriever Club of Greater Toronto (GRCGT) is for owners and breeders of Golden Retrievers who share the same interests in training and exhibiting their dogs and in the welfare and betterment of the breed. The GRCGT is an affiliate of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada (GRCC) and a member club of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).

Members of the Club are active in agility, conformation, obedience, rally, tracking, field work, and more with their dogs. Throughout the year, we hold CKC events in these areas to promote the versatility of the Golden Retriever. The GRCGT maintains a strong interest in the welfare and development of our breed as part of an ongoing public education program that has been in place since the Club was founded in 1986. The program includes training workshops and educational seminars for our members and an annual health certification clinic in conjunction with a local veterinary hospital. Members of the GRCGT were the founders of a rescue and adoption service for unwanted and displaced Golden Retrievers, known as The Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Service.
